Business Development Specialist – Auckland or Wellington

Are you a proactive and driven business development specialist? Fusion5 is looking for a true "hunter" to identify, nurture, and qualify prospects for our NetSuite Sales Team. Based in either Auckland or Wellington, this role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work from home two days per week.
About the Role
You'll take ownership of strategic prospecting, using a multi-touch approach with email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person networking. Your goal? Turning cold contacts into hot leads by offering value, building credibility, and driving demand. With support from our Marketing Team, you'll also create and execute campaigns to maximize engagement.
What You'll Do
- Research industries and engage target audiences with compelling content that sparks meaningful sales conversations.
- Work closely with Sales Executives to identify and convert prospects.
- Clearly communicate Fusion5’s solutions and services to various roles and industries.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and help drive change.
- Follow up on marketing-qualified leads to uncover their business needs, challenges, and buying motivations.
- Deliver well-qualified opportunities to our Sales Team using the BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Time) criteria.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience inlead generation and creative prospecting.
- Knowledge of CRM, ERP, and e-commerce solutions (NetSuite, Microsoft, Workday, etc.).
- Confidence in using multiple tools to reach and track engagement signals.
- Strong CRM data management and an appreciation for good data hygiene.
- A track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to identify influencers within a business and build a holistic prospecting framework.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, engaging manner.
- Ability to lead conversations with senior executives while building rapport.
- A hunger for learning, growth, and career progression in sales.
